In Australia, where laid-back isn't just an adjective but a way of life, a pair of shorts is the prerequisite uniform of many. But not just any uniform, no sir. We're talking the sought-after man leg-baring designs by Melbourne-based label Made by Jimmy. Founded only two years ago by designer James Andrianakis, the brand has gained a growing following down under and overseas - notably in japan - with playful designs that effortlessly blend the savoir-vivre of beach life with elements of urban cool
Made by jimmy has taken its operations to the next level by launching a pop-up store in the heart of homebase Melbourne.

Occupying a narrow but lofty ground floor unit, it features a collab interior design with local archtecture practice herbert & mason. Dipped entirely in a very appropriate aquamarine shade, the flooring has a curved edges and heighten the sense of being submerged in a tank. Suspended metal clothing racks in a similar colour line the walls, showcasing made by jimmy's s/s 2015 collection of men's shorts and matching t-shirt designs. A linear configuration of neon light tubes that dangle from the ceiling add an industrial touch [open through feb 28]. location: 10 crossley street [cbd].
