Tom Greyhound store opening in Paris

For quite some time the far east has proved to be the new frontier for european and american luxury brands, but specific markets have reached such maturity that homegrown brands and companies are looking abroad for expansion and are starting to reciprocate with sophisticated initiatives in far flung territories.

And such a venture has just been launched in the heart of Paris. called Tom Greyhound it's a new retail concept by handsome, a leading korean retailer which already operates a series of eponymous shops and monobrand flagship stores in the homeland. The store occupies the ground floor of a building that was previously home to a renowned modern art gallery. french practice architecture & associés has redesigned the premises and the existing chain of both big and more intimate rooms now decidedly look the part of an inviting shopping haven.

The interior of the Tom Greyhound store has become much more layered, featuring bold rectangular light fixtures, a new tiled floor and a series of displays, wooden clothes racks and floor-to-ceiling partitions.

Aiming to serve both male and female shoppers, it has put together a quirky blend of offerings with a typically asian sensibility, but decidely intended for an international clientele that's equally discerning when it comes to style and fashion. the offerings consist of established brand and emerging labels from around the planet, and possibly also from korea at a later stage.
Tom Greyhound's current brand list features fashion-forward labels such as Maison Martin Margiela, Avelon, J.W.Anderson, R13 and Opening Ceremony.
